dGO disociace pevných heterodimerů
Malijevská, I. ; Sedláková, Zuzana
Solid – liquid equilibria of two binary systems were measured. Both systems, propanoic acid – trifluoroacetic acid and acetic acid – trichloroacetic acid, form a compound in the solid phase. Activity coefficients in the liquid phase were calculated and thermochemical data of the given compounds dissociation determined.

Image analysis in an agitated particle - liquid transparent system
Ditl, P. ; Severa, Miroslav ; Šedivý, V.
Large tall vessels with a draught tube are used for the mixing of suspensions especially in cases where high homogeneity and heat tranfer are desirable. The article describes flow behaviour of liquid in the vessel with a draught tube. LDA method (Laser Doppler Anemometry) was used for measurement axial velocity profile. The experimental configuration for LDA method was produced by firm DANTEC. Experimental results are compared with numerical simulation and other experiment.

Catalytic Decomposition of Nitrous Oxide over Calcined Hydrotalcite-like Compounds
Obalová, L. ; Kovanda, F. ; Jirátová, Květa ; Chmielová, M. ; Wichterle, K. ; Dorničák, V.
Mixed oxide based catalysts prepared by the thermal decomposition of Hydrotalcite-like compounds were used in catalytic decomposition of nitrous oxide into nitrogen and oxygen. The catalytic reaction was performed in a fixed-bed reactor at 1000 ppm N2O inlet concentration in the temperature range 603 - 723 K. Ni and Co-containing catalysts showed high activity in nitrous oxide decomposition. A very poor activity was observed for Mg-Al mixed oxide catalyst. The prepared catalysts were characterized by the thermal analysis, powder X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, BET surface area measurement, temperature-programmed reduction and temperature-programmed desorption. The determined reaction rate constants of N2O decomposition were approximately proportional to the amount of reducible components and inversely proportional to the amount of strong basic centres of catalyst.

Natural Vax Refining by Liquid/Liquid Extraction
García, A. ; Heyberger, Aleš ; Procházka, Jaroslav ; Canete, R. ; Vinals, M.
The separation of sugar cane wax from resins with ethanol as solvent has been studied by means of a reciprocating plate extractor (VPE) 85 mm at pilot plant scale under pressure. In a fierst aproach experiments for the measurement of the equilibria were conducted in a 1 liter stirred extractor vessel under different temperatures (70-100 °C) in order to determine the influence of the temperature on the distribution coefficient (Mc) and on the removal of wax from the resins.
